Enjoying a wonderfully unspolit on a hillside just a couple of
kilometers west from the delightfull coastal hamlet of balos,
the newly-built Panorama Villas are certainly worthy of their
name, for they survey a magnificent vista along the coast towards
Ormos, Votsalakia and mightly Mount Kerkis, and across the sea
to the neighbouring islands of Fourni and Ikaria. On a really
clear day, even Patmos can be spotted as a distant outline on
the horizon. |

Thanks to the carefully planned design and layout of the villas,
these magni ficent sea views can be enjoyed not just from
your terrace, but even from your bed - a truly spirit - lifting
way to start the day. The villas are arranged in two tiers
and painted in pretty pastel colours, allowing them to blend
harmoniously into their lovely natural surroundings.

On one level are six semi-detached one-bedroom cottages, each
comprising a double bedroom, a small lounge with a simple open-plan
kitchenette and a shower room. Stone-flagged floors, handsome
corner fireplaces and pitched wooden ceilings lend the interiors
more than a hind of traditional, rustic charm. On the upper level
are three two bedroom villas , same constraction, but without
fireplaces corner, at each bedroom there are two single bed. Using
the car or the motorbick Balos can be reached in about 10 minutes,
as can the little inland village of Koumeika. Extra Facilities: Satellite TV in living room, in every aparrtment, Hairdresser on request. |

In the opposite direction, it takes a similar time to reach the
larger coastal village of Ormos, and only 15 minu- tes to visit
Votsalakia with its 2-km sand and shingle beach. However , swimming
in the sea is possible closer to home, as there is a small, almost
hidden pebble beach below the site of the Panorama Villas. |

The walk back to villas is very steep, but a quick dip in
the villas enticing swimming pool should be all thats needed
to cool of again. Alternatively, you may of course decide
to remain by the pool in the first place, enjoying the scenic
setting, the refreshing breeze, the splendid views and the
peaceful ambience.
